Managing Deployments

Introduction

This article provides the instructions to create, restore, deprecate, and delete player packages, as well as how to deploy these player packages and delete the deployments.

Important

Only Portal Administrators can perform these actions.

Create a New Package

  1. Click the Appspace extension drop-down menu, and navigate to System > Deployments.


  2. Click the network tree, select a network to deploy the package to, and click the Add Package/Deployment button.


  3. In the Choose an Option window, select the Add Package option and click Next.


  4. In the New Package window, select the desired player package type from the drop-down menu, input the version of the package, click the folder button to select the package files, and click OK.


  5. If successful, the New Package Added confirmation window are displayed.

    • To deploy the package now, click Yes, and proceed to Step 3 in the Add a Deployment section below.
    • To deploy the package later, click ‘Not now’.


Add a Deployment

  1. In Deployments, select the desired network from the network tree, and click the Add Package/Deployment button.


  2. In the Choose an Option window, select the Add Deployment option, and click Next.


  3. In the Add Deployment window, select the Scope of the deployment, the player package type, and the package version. Click OK to deploy the package.

  4. The package is deployed successfully.

Remove a Deployment

  1. In Deployments, select the desired network from the network tree.

  2. Select the deployment package you wish to remove.

  3. Click the Remove Deployment button.


  4. In the Confirmation window, click OK to confirm.


Deprecate a Package

  1. In Deployments, select the desired network from the network tree.

  2. Select the deployment package you wish to deprecate, and click the package type name link.


  3. In the Package Information page, the details and status of the package are displayed.


  4. Click the ‘Deprecate package’ link.


  5. In the Confirmation window, click OK to confirm the deprecation.


  6. Back in the Package Information page, the status of the package is displayed as Deprecated.


Restore a Package

  1. In Deployments, select the desired network from the network tree.

  2. Select the deployment package you wish to restore, and click the package type name link.


  3. In the Package Information page, the details and status of the package is displayed.


  4. Click the ‘Restore package’ link.


  5. Click OK in the Confirmation window, to confirm the restoration.


  6. Back in the Package Information page, the status of the package is displayed as Active.


Delete a Package

  1. In Deployments, select the desired network from the network tree.

  2. Select the deployment package you wish to delete, and click the package type name link.


  3. In the Package Information page, the details and status of the package are displayed.


  4. Click the ‘Delete package’ link.


  5. Click OK in the Confirmation window, to confirm the deletion.
