Large-scale Appspace Deployment

Introduction

In a large-scale Appspace deployment, there is no definitive answer to how many players can be registered to the Appspace server or how many users the Appspace server can handle. These are dependent on the server hardware and how its set up.

As stated in the Appspace installation prerequisites, an Appspace Enterprise deployment requires a server with higher hardware specifications in comparison to an Appspace Pro deployment. This is because an Enterprise deployment has more functionalities to cater to a larger player and user base.

CPU

Server processors constantly receive simultaneous processing requests. These requests will be queued and handled in turns. A processor with a higher processing speed will be able to handle and process more requests.

Memory

Memory size determines how many programs can be running concurrently. Memory speed on the other hand, determines how quick data can be transferred between itself and the processor.

Storage

In an Appspace server, users will be able to store their contents and apps on the server. Thus, sufficient storage is required to handle all content uploads. The read/write speed of the storage also determines how quickly data can be uploaded and retrieved.

Network

The network where the Appspace server resides in will determine how it performs as well. Higher network bandwidth will allow users and players to have faster access to the Appspace server when retrieving and uploading data. A higher bandwidth also allows more users and players to access the Appspace server.
