Managing Applications

Introduction

The Apps tab within the Play extension allows users to create, customize and manage the collection of Play applications. A Play app is required to be defined by the user before it can be bound to a Play player device. One Play app can be bound to multiple Play player devices, but not the other way around. This guide will go over the steps to create, customize and manage your collection of Play applications.

Creating New Play Applications

Step 1

From the Apps tab within the Play extension, click the + button to create a new Play application.


Step 2

Give the application a name and description.


Step 3

Select your preferred theme by clicking the drop-down arrow.


Note

Upon selecting a theme from the drop-down menu, the preview will display the theme. To preview the theme in full, click the eye (preview) button at the top-right corner.

Step 4

Add a subscription by clicking the + button.


Step 5

Select your subscription and click OK.


Step 6

Click Save.


Editing Play Applications

Step 1

From the Apps tab within the Play extension, click the name link of the Play application you intend to edit.


Step 2

Edit the various fields and click Save when finished to apply the changes.


Deleting Play Applications

Step 1

From the Apps tab within the Play extension, check the box(es) next to the Play application(s) you intend to delete. Continue by selecting the trash (Delete Application) icon.


Step 2

When prompted with a Confirmation window, verify the Play app to be deleted before clicking the OK button to remove it.
