Managing Devices
Introduction
The Play Devices tab provides users access to the Play player’s device information, health status and subscription plan. A device must have a Play Application assigned to it before a subscription can be allocated to that device.
The sections in this article elaborate on the process involved in assigning Play applications to registered devices in Appspace, managing the Play applications with their associated devices, assigning (adding) additional subscriptions to devices, and previewing Play applications.
Important
The Play extension is only supported on the Cisco Edge 340.
Assigning Play Applications to Registered Devices
The process of assigning Play applications for the first time is very similar to the steps taken in associating Signs applications to registered devices.
Step 1
Navigate to the Networks extension from the extensions drop-down menu and select the Players tab. Select (check the box next to) the desired device to be associated with a Play application. Click the + button in the toolbar near the top of the page.
Note
Remember that you are only able to select registered Edge 340 devices.

Managing Device Subscriptions
Subscriptions that have been added to a Play application will automatically (by default) be allocated to a device when that Play application has been assigned to the device. Users have the ability to manage (such as add or remove) subscriptions to specific devices through the Play Devices tab.
Step 1
From the Play Extension Devices tab, check the checkbox next to the desired device for which you’d like to manage subscriptions for. Click the + button to manage subscriptions for the selected device.
Step 2
On the Select Subscriptions page, select or deselect the subscriptions to be added/removed by ticking the box(es) next to the names of the subscriptions. Click OK.
Step 3
Another method to manage subscriptions for a device is by directly clicking on the name-link of the desired device.
Previewing Play Applications
Users have the ability to preview the current Play application assigned to specific players within the Play Devices tab for review directly within the Play extension module.
