Adding a Metric Tree
Step 1
Switch to Administrator Mode.
Step 2
Click Yes.
Step 3
Click Yes when prompted for confirmation.
Step 4
Select the desired application and select the METRICS tab.
Step 5
Click General followed by Advanced.
Step 6
Select the application from the drop-down and click Add New MetricTree.
Step 7
Name the MetricTree. (In this example, it’s named mouseclicked). Give the
MetricTree a description and click OK.
Enabling Interactive Metrics
Step 1
From the Sign Manager extension’s Application Library, select the desired
application.
Step 2
Click Edit and click the widget you want to capture interactive metrics for.
Step 3
Click the Actions tab followed by the New Action button.
Step 4
Configure the Event Actions and click OK when done.
Note
Following are the configuration for Interactive Metrics:
- When: Mouse Click/Touch
- Select: Application
- Do: Capture Interactive Metrics
- Metric Tree Name – A name given for the specific metrics. (In this example, it’s called mouseclicked)
- Media Object – The object being tracked.
- Extra – Extra info to be tracked. (Not required)
Step 5
Click close window.
Generating Interactive Metric Reports
Important
Metrics are captured from the device therefore the application
needs to be in sync with the device before a user can proceed to generate
metric reports for that device.
Step 1
Switch to Administrator Mode.
Step 2
Click Yes.
Step 3
Click Yes when prompted for confirmation.
Step 4
Click the Metrics tab.
Step 5
Click General.
Step 6
Select the application. Select the predefined metric type. In this example,
we’ll track mouseclicked.
Step 7
Select the start/end date and start/end time.
Step 8
Click View to view the metrics or Download to download the metrics in csv
format.
