This release note describes the new major build for Appspace App v1.6.

Features and Enhancements
General
- Added a background process that allows file sync information to be sent back to Appspace during the content syncing process, to enable Network Administrators to view sync progress and download details.
- Support for network events for external scripting support, to allow external devices
to trigger event actions on a Signs channel:
- Chrome OS - via web socket, port 55537
- BrightSign - via UDP socket, port 55537
Cisco IEC
- Support for Cisco Interactive Experience Client (IEC) devices.
BrightSign
- Improved security by disabling telnet, and enabling SSH in the autorun.brs file.
- Support for on-screen keyboard for web forms.
- Support for open/close WebSockets protocol.
Chrome
- Support for open/close WebSockets protocol.
Samsung SSP
- Support for TV volume control via a remote control.
Resolved Escalations
- AE-2390 - A deactivated Alert that is not scheduled, keeps triggering every day,
- AE-2432 - Table Listing widget does not show on a BrightSign display screen.

Bug Fixes
- APC-2590 - Fixed: The ‘LoadLayoutByName’ property does not work correctly, when duration is not set.
Resolved Escalations
- AE-2530 - Fixed: Text on a RSS Ticker widget is truncated.
- AE-2505 - Fixed: Incorrect media or layout displayed when using action scripts.
- AE-2459 - Fixed: Conditional action scripting does not work on the Appspace App for Chrome OS.
Known Issues
General
- Due to a browser limitation, text in the RSS Ticker widget is truncated when displayed in Appspace App. A workaround is available in the Known Issues section of the RSS Text Widget article.
Cisco IEC
- The RSS text ticker does not run smoothly.
- Video appears as top layer in the sign.
- Adding videos hosted on web sites, or web snippets are not supported.
- Loading signs in Channels takes four to five seconds.
- Unresponsive when using a remote control when selecting channels with 3 digits.
- A white screen is seen when loading an Announcement, Data Table, Donut, or Line Chard card during playback.
- Black intervals or white screens are seen during Cards playback on Signs and Channels.

- Black intervals or white screens are seen when loading an Announcement, Data Table, Donut, or Line Chart card during playback.
