Appspace 8.6 Aquarius Release Notes for Cloud

The Public Cloud release notes for the Appspace 8.6 Aquarius platform contain valuable information on the latest features, enhancements, bug fixes, and resolved escalations available in each public cloud release.

The following is the release management schedule as per our Release Calendar for Public Cloud:

  • New Appspace functionality and major platform optimizations will now be released under a quartely release cycle, scheduled at 08:00 pm CST on Friday.
  • Scheduled minor feature updates, cloud service optimizations, and bug and escalation fixes are typically scheduled at 08:00 pm CST time throughout the week, typically on a Tuesday or Friday.
  • Critical updates including security patches or emergency fixes that support the reliability and availability of the Appspace platform will be deployed as necessary and as soon as it is administratively feasible.

At The Office UI Improvements The image placeholders for employees who have not set their profile images have been enhanced to display the user’s initials for better visual identification and visibility on the At The Office tab in Places.
The image placeholders for users display the initials of the person’s first name.
Conflict Reservation Improvements The Reservations system incorrectly sends two confirmation emails to users for conflicted reservations in Reservable Neighborhoods.

This improvement updates the conflict resolution to only send one confirmation email to the user with the confirmed reservation, while the other user receives the conflicted notification email, ensuring accurate communication.

New Reservations Setting – Default Attendance Appspace introduces a new Reservations setting allowing administrators to set the default attendance for reservations to “Virtual”, providing a convenient option for organizations to streamline virtual attendees in remote environments.
The new “Default attendees to virtual” reservation setting is available in the Settings tab in Reservations.

Provider Reservations with Conflict Setting Improvement The Provider Reservations with Conflict setting option in Reservations now includes a new functionality when set to Cancel
  • Supports both recurring and non-recurring reservation events, including all OnBehalf reservation scenarios.
  • Conflicted resources are removed from the entirety of a multi-resource reservation, rather than canceling the reservation event, ensuring the multi-resource reservation event status is active. If the final resource or single resource reservation is still in conflict, the reservation is Canceled.
New functionality when the Provider Reservations with Conflict setting option is set to Cancel.
Enterprise Messaging Templates Update The Enterprise Messaging Templates have been updated to display the Reservation Name, rather than the resource name for improved clarity.
Places Improvement Resource drop-down listings on the Employee App now display and sort resources (including zones) in alphabetical order for improved organization and accessibility.
Import Provider Resources Improvements Administrators will now be reminded to double-check their latest changes with a warning message just before clicking the Import button when managing providers, as resources excluded from the filter will not be in sync anymore.

Invitations are synchronized between both Space Reservations and Visitor Management, allowing any changes made to the reservation event or attendees to be automatically reflected on both sides, guaranteeing consistency and accuracy throughout the process.

Editable Checkpoints Administrators can now configure checkpoints to be editable, allowing submitted Reservation Checkpoint answers to be changed by Organizers or Attendees anytime (or a configurable duration) before the start of the reservation.
