NEW FEATURES & UPDATES

Space Reservations

Features Description Impact/Outcome
Reservable Neighborhood Improvements Improvements to the map view functionality to allow users to interact with and make reservations for specific zones more easily, enhancing overall usability.
Resource Import Enhancement This enhancement resolves a discrepancy in the Resource Import process, where the .xlsx template uses the “Facilities” column for resources, while the console displays these as “Amenities”, potentially causing confusion.

To ensure consistency and clarity, the “Facilities” column in the .xlsx template is being renamed to “Amenities” across all import and export spreadsheets. This change aligns the template with what is displayed on the console, making the import process more intuitive.

The new template is available for download in this release, and Administrators exporting resources moving forward will be generated using the new .xlsx template.

To maintain compatibility with previous versions, The Resource Import .xlsx templates generated through the Export process before this release can still be used.

However, Administrators must manually rename the “Facilities” column to “Amenities” in order to successfully import the data. This ensures that older templates remain functional with the updated system.

Employee Communications

Features Description Impact/Outcome
Quick Posts – Mentions

The Global Mentions feature in the Employee App, is designed to revolutionize interconnectivity and reference capabilities. This enhancement allows employees to seamlessly mention colleagues not only in comments but also within articles, posts, pages, stories, resources, and locations, significantly improving collaboration and communication across the platform.

  • The User’s Home Location in the Employee App will always default to their home location.
Stories and Pages – Authors Subsequent (Multiple) Authors can now view and edit Pages or Stories, allowing for smoother collaboration and content management.
Stories and Pages – Video Banners Authors now have the ability to upload a video as the banner for Pages or Stories, enhancing the visual impact and engagement of their content.
Page Editor – Tables Authors can now insert tables directly within the Page Editor, providing a structured way to present data and enhance content organization on the page.
QR Code for Private Cloud Login This feature allows admins to generate a QR code for the login URL of a private cloud or firewall-protected subdomain. Administrators can easily download, print, and distribute the QR code to users, streamlining the login process.
Connector Improvements In this release, we have made the following Connector improvements:
  • Administrators can now specify an Author for each connector to be used when user identities cannot be mapped, allowing for more precise control over the authors associated with content synced through the connector.
  • A new “Published Date” property has been introduced to the Intranet connector. This addition ensures that the original published date of content is retained, even when the content is updated through the Intranet connector.
  • A new “Featured” property has been added, enabling Administrators to programmatically highlight content synced to the Employee App, aligning with the ability to feature content dynamically.
  • Keyword search for public channels and topics is now supported in the Intranet connector, allowing Administrators to efficiently find and connect relevant Intranet content to Appspace Channels and Topics.
Bidirectional Streaming Service Real-time data streaming has been implemented for several key services, including:
