This article provides Administrators with instructions to configure and manage the User Settings in the Users module within the Appspace platform.
Prerequisites
- An Account Owner user role, with the Platform User license assigned.
Configure General User Settings
Enable Users to Change Home Locations
- Log in to the Appspace console.
- Click Users from the ☰ Appspace menu.
- In the Users dashboard, click ⚙ Settings located at the bottom of the side panel, and click the General tab from the side panel.
- To Allow all users to change their home location, toggle the switch to enable.
Configure User Session Timeout
- Log in to the Appspace console.
- Click Users from the ☰ Appspace menu.
- In the Users dashboard, click ⚙ Settings located at the bottom of the side panel, and click the General tab from the side panel.
- Determine the User session timeout by selecting the duration dropdown menu.
Configure Invite Timeout
- Log in to the Appspace console.
- Click Users from the ☰ Appspace menu.
- In the Users dashboard, click ⚙ Settings located at the bottom of the side panel, and click the General tab from the side panel.
- Determine the Invite timeout (the number of days an invited user has to click on the Appspace invitation before it expires) by selecting the duration dropdown menu.
View Login URL and QR Code
- Log in to the Appspace console.
- Click Users from the ☰ Appspace menu.
- In the Users dashboard, click ⚙ Settings located at the bottom of the side panel, and click the General tab from the side panel.
- You can view and copy (by clicking the copy icon) the login URL sent to the invited user. You can also preview the QR code for the URL, and save or copy the image by moving your mouse over it and clicking the Download or Copy icon.
Configure User Profile Settings
The User Profile settings allow Administrators to configure custom SAML attributes that can be mapped to an external IdP or SCIM provider. Please view our Configure SAML Attributes for Appspace Cloud article for a complete configuration guide.
