NEW FEATURES & UPDATES

Features Description
Sharebox: A Modernized & Contextualized Experience We’ve completely redesigned the Sharebox, aligning it with Appspace’s modern design standards to provide a more intuitive and streamlined user experience.

Key improvements include:

  • Modern Modal Presentation: The Sharebox now opens as a modal window, rather than a dropdown, providing a more focused and engaging experience with smooth animations.
  • UI Text Consistency: We’ve refined all user interface text, including buttons, placeholders, error messages, and aria-labels, to ensure a consistent and clear experience.
  • “Post to” Placement: The “Share with” option has been renamed to “Post to” and moved to the top of the Sharebox, making the preferred community to be the first selection for users on this journey.
  • Contextual Default Messages: Default messages have been updated to be more contextually relevant, changing based on the activity type.
  • Enhanced Rich Text & Hyperlinks: You can now add richer context and direct links to your activities, making communication more effective and engaging.
  • Polls: We’ve streamlined the number of options available for polls, reducing them from 15 to a maximum of 6. This simplification provides a more focused and efficient polling experience, encouraging clearer and more decisive responses. We retained the single and multiple choice options.
  • Tagging & Settings: A new settings section allows you to organize and categorize your posts with tags, laying the foundation for future advanced features.
  • Targeted Posting: The posting workflow from Newsfeed and Communities has been streamlined to focus on relevant audiences (i.e. communities for people). Posting to “My Followers” remains accessible through the My People’s tab and My Profile, where also the user has the full context of the audience.
  • Improved Attachment Handling (Files & Media): Uploading attachments is now more intuitive. The journey clearly distinguishes between file attachments and media attachments, providing clear visual cues.
  • Mentions and Inline Tags: You can now use mentions and inline tags within events, blogs, and wikis, enhancing collaboration and content organization.
  • “Open in Editor”: The “More Options” button within Wikis and Blogs has been renamed to “Open in Editor” for clarity. The user will continue to benefit from more advanced Editing options for Wiki Pages and Blog posts.
  • Enhanced Social Cards and Detail Pages: The content within social cards and detail pages now supports rich text formatting, improving visual appeal and information delivery. Note: Only the content of the cards was changed, no functionality has been altered.
  • WCAG 2.2 Compliance: We continue our commitment to accessibility, ensuring all users can engage with the Sharebox using keyboard navigation, screen readers, and clear visual cues.
  • This update delivers a more contextualized and user-friendly Sharebox, minimizing confusion and maximizing engagement.
