Adding a card theme

This article provides the instructions to add, edit, and customize themes to a card.


  • Content Administrator, Account Owner, or Portal Administrator permissions required.
  • Ensure your device is compatible. Please refer to the Supported Card Types section in the Supported media player comparison article.

Add Card Themes

  1. Click the Appspace menu, select System > Cards.

  2. Click the Themes tab, and click the Add button.

  3. Select the desired Card template from the drop-down menu for the theme, and click Next.

  4. Enter in the theme title.

  5. In the Form tab, edit the fields depending on the Card template selected, you wish to see in the theme.

    Click the Lock icon to disable the field from being viewed by the user when the theme is selected in the card template.

    Click the Gear icon to access the text field customization, which allows users to lock styling options, or force capitalization of text.

  6. Optionally, you may edit the structure of the Card Template, by clicking the Schema tab, and editing the template code. To revert back to the last save of the template code, click Restore.

  7. Click Save once done.

  8. To edit the theme, click the theme’s name link, and make the necessary edits. Click Save once done.

Duplicate Card Themes

  1. Select the desired theme to duplicate, and click the Duplicate icon.

  2. Make the necessary edits to the theme title, and to the Form or Schema tab. Click Save once done.

Disable Card Themes

  1. Select the theme to disable, and click the Lock icon.

  2. When the theme is disabled, it is unable to be selected in the drop-down menu by users when creating a card.

  3. To re-enable the theme, select the disabled theme, and click the Lock icon

Permissions on Card Themes

  1. Select the desired theme to assign permissions to, and click ‘Everyone’ in the Permissions column.

  2. Select the User groups that would be given access permissions to the card theme. Click OK once done.

Delete Card Themes

  1. Select the theme to delete, and click the Delete icon.

  2. Click Delete to confirm deletion.
