Enhanced Blog Post Overview with Likes and Comments Count The blog post overview now displays the number of Likes and Comments for each post, allowing users to quickly see engagement without opening individual posts. This enhancement improves the standalone blog feature, boosting user sentiment and encouraging the adoption of a more modern UI experience.
Productize Branding  Customizations This release includes several exciting features aimed at improving intranet branding customization and user flexibility:

Open File, New Tab Button

This feature enables users to view files directly in a new tab without needing to download them. Supported files include:
  • Word
  • Excel
  • PowerPoint
  • OneNote (PDFs and images are not supported.)

Translations in Comments

Users can now translate social and user-generated content, such as comments, to facilitate multilingual collaboration.

Custom Terms of Use (ToU)

Appspace SharePoint Intranet users can customize their Terms and Conditions to align with specific organizational requirements, ensuring the content meets their unique needs. Editorial managers can update and manage the Terms and Conditions through the Global Editorial Settings, providing flexibility and control. This feature is particularly valuable for users who require tailored Terms of Use to support their organizational policies and compliance standards.

Custom Colors in Communities

The release introduces a new feature allowing users to define a custom color palette for their communities, enhancing governance of company branding. This functionality, formerly available only through branding packs, is now seamlessly integrated and easily accessible. Users can select up to six colors in the Community Features settings, which will replace the default options and appear in the same order in the design tab.

Newsfeed Translation

The release completes the translation of all user-generated content activities in the newsfeed, including polls, blog posts, wiki pages, questions, and events across all feeds. A translation button has been added to the 3-dot menu for user posts, with translation options also available on the detail pages for these activities.

These updates aim to enhance user experience by enabling more customization, governance, and multilingual support for intranet systems.

Social Cards Improvements – Event Date Displayed on Event Card in Newsfeed Improvements to the Event Social card allow it to display critical information upfront, removing the need to open the detail page.
